Golden syrup and brown sugar add a deeper note of sweetness than ordinary sugar and corn syrup could provide.

Ingredients

1 lb. 14 oz. unsalted butter
1 lb. 6 oz. golden syrup
1 lb. 6 oz. golden brown sugar
3 lb. 2 oz. quick oats
1 lb. 2 oz. dried craisins
1 oz. bakery pan grease

Steps

  1. Grease pan liberally, then spray with baking spray

  2. Reconstitute craisins in hot water.

  3. Combine butter, syrup and brown sugar, heat until melted. Stir in oats and craisins.

  4. Spread into sheet pan, press with rolling pin.

  5. Bake at 330°F for 15 to 20 minutes, until golden brown.
