Timothy Gee, the hospital’s executive chef, says, “Gourmet grilled cheese never disappoints. We do three or four varieties, on a rustic Italian bread, sourdough bread or Texas toast, and we sell over 900 grilled cheese sandwiches every time.” One of the most popular sandwiches is a take on peanut butter and jelly—with brie taking the place of the peanut butter.

Ingredients

4 slices rustic Italian bread
1/2 cup raspberry jam
8 slices brie cheese

Steps

  1.  Lay down one piece of bread down and layer 2 slices of brie.

  2. Spread 1/4 cup of raspberry jam on top of brie. Layer another two slices of brie and top with another slice of bread.

  3. Heat butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Add sandwiches and grill until each side is golden brown and inside is warm.
