The humble ham-and-cheese sandwich gets an upgrade with black forest ham, Brie, arugula and a turn in the panini press. It’s an easy grilled sandwich to prepare to order, and is often requested at Morrison’s dining venues.

Ingredients

1 tbsp. honey mustard
1 tbsp. apricot preserves
3 oz. thinly sliced Black Forest ham
1 1/2 oz. brie cheese
1/2 oz. arugula
2 slices thick-sliced Texas toast-style bread

Steps

  1. Preheat panini press. On work surface, place bread. Spread one slice with mustard and the other with apricot preserves.

  2. Thinly slice Brie and place on slice of bread with mustard; top with ham and arugula, finishing with second bread slice. Press sandwich in panini press until cheese melts and sandwich is warm. Serve immediately.
