The University of Alabama-Birmingham has set up a fresh food farm stand that moves around the campus to various locations throughout each week during the summer, reports the Birmingham News. The bounty is particularly attractive because the school is located in Birmingham's urban center where groceries retailing a lot of fresh produce are scarce.

Run by Ellen Ruoff Riley, a former garden editor for Southern Living, the New Leaf Farm Stand is part of the the university's wellness program for employees and was developed in partnership with UAB Hospital's Food & Nutrition Services Department.
