Niche.com has ranked the top 100 school districts in the nation based on their cafeteria offerings. A high ranking is gained by offering a variety of healthy, quality food options with dietary accommodations.

PITTSBURGH — Best Food ranks 3,868 school districts based on district spending statistics and more than 580,000 opinions on food from 215,000 students and parents. A high ranking indicates the district offers a variety of healthy, quality food options, accommodates various dietary preferences like vegan and gluten-free, and the students rate the quality of food favorably.

An additional 41 districts received a grade but were not eligible for ranking.

  1. Cambridge Public Schools, Cambridge, Mass.

  2. Adlai E. Stevenson High School District No. 125, Vernon Township, Ill.

  3. Hunterdon Central Regional High School District, Readington Township, N.J.

  4. Union Public Schools, Tulsa, Okla.

  5. Westside Community Schools, Omaha, Neb.

  6. Minnetonka Public School District, Shorewood, Minn.

  7. Lower Merion School District, Lower Merion Township, Pa.

  8. Pascack Valley Regional High School District, River Vale Township, N.J.

  9. Kenston Local School District, Auburn Township, Ohio

  10. New Richmond School District, Stanton Town, Wis.
