Automated call system put in place to collect money.

May 21—When students and teachers in the WFISD take advantage of the food service department's lenient payment policy, debt runs up.
Everybody's allowed to charge up to three meals, and many do — which created a debt of about $25,000 for children, adults and the Head Start program.
Of that, $5,000 was owed for student lunches at the district's 22 schools that allow lunches to be charged.
To collect it, Food Service Director Kathy Bolton recorded several robo calls and ran them on the district's Parent Link automated call system, reminding parents to pay any balance before school dismisses for the summer.
