The superintendent and school nutrition director at Hartford Central School District in Hartford, N.Y., competed in a BBQ cook-off for students, News 10 reports.

Both contestants brought their own smokers to school and prepared smoked pulled pork sliders using their own recipe. At lunch, students could try both dishes and vote on their favorite.

Earlier in the day, students were invited to check out the smokers and learn about the smoking process.

All of the ingredients used for the cook-off were donated by suppliers.
