A University of Minnesota study has found that placing photos of vegetables on lunch trays could prompt children to eat more of the healthy items, reports Minnesota Public Radio. The research, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, documents an experiment in which photos of carrots and green beans were placed on school lunch trays in an elementary school cafeteria and the amount of fresh vegetables taken was then compared to the amounts taken on other days.
