A chicken salad wrap sandwich developed by culinary arts students at Centennial High School in Howard County (MD) Public Schools sold well enough on its initial day on the district menu to be made part of the cycle next fall, reports the Baltimore Sun. The wrap, made with red onions, romaine lettuce, mayonnaise and Dijon mustard on a whole wheat tortilla and served with corn salsa, took first prize in the district's most recent Top Student Chef competition which seeks to elicit student input into the lunch menu. The two previous Top Student Chef winners—a buffalo chicken wrap and a chicken quesadilla—are already on the district menu.
