Eric Boutin, who was hired to head the school nutrition department for the Seattle Public Schools, has been removed from that position, reports the Seattle Times. He continues to be employed by the district but has been reassigned. Boutin came to the 47,000-student Seattle district from Auburn (WA) Schools after developing a reputation for upgrading school menus by using fresh and natural ingredients, and serving more scratch-cooked dishes while staying within budget.
