Schwan's Food Service, Inc., has introduced its LiveSmart Schools portfolio of products, all of which are consistent with the newly proposed USDA School Meal Rules, as well as the HealthierUS School Challenge (HUSSC) guidelines. The new products, representing more than 50 SKUs, reflect a 50 percent expansion in the company's product lineup.

“This is Smart Food for Smart Kids and is the most significant product expansion we've done in more than 35 years, which clearly represents our commitment to improving child nutrition,” says Jim Clough, president of Schwan's Food Service.

The new portfolio also supports the school community's mission to advance good nutrition for all children. “We believe that students who receive good nutrition in school are able to perform better academically and in their after-school activities,” adds Clough.
