Schools promote health, nutrition with Sodexo Food Service program

ELYRIA, Ohio—A health fair included fun foods such as spinach smoothies and fresh leafy herbs as Sodexo bridged a “yuck” factor May 1 at Oakwood Elementary School in Elyria.

Sodexo Food Service provides breakfast and lunch in 400 schools across the country, including Elyria City Schools.

As a pilot program, Sodexo gathered specialists from Maryland, Texas, California and Oregon to launch a health fair at Oakwood.
