In a different tack from the usual classroom instruction, Minnie Cline Elementary School is teaching its students about nutrition through a “virtual tour” that tracks food from its source on the farm to how it ends up in their digestive system.

An interactive display developed in partnership with the University of Missouri Extension, the Food Power Adventure takes students on the journey that their food travels, according to News-pressnow.com.

Students also gave presentations on numerous topics, including how different nutrients affect the body, and other activities discussed food labeling and how to make healthy choices.
