ScheduleSeven high schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District will begin offering vegan menu items this fall, KTLA reports.

The vegan menu will be served from Sept. 4 to Nov. 17, and students in the Calfornia district will be asked to give their feedback on the new items, which will include bean tamales, teriyaki patty sandwiches and “sausage” subs.

Officials began working on the menu last year and hope to expand the program to other schools in the district depending on student response.
