Baldwin County School District in Milledgeville, Ga., is rolling out a new hot supper program for students who participate in after-school activities, WGXA New reports.

The district has previously offered after-school snacks to students participating in extracurriculars, but school officials felt that a snack was not enough food.

Foodservice staff at one of the district’s high schools will be in charge of preparing the meals for around 500 students. Funding for the program is being provided by a federal grant from the Child and Adult Care Food Program.
