Revolution Foods takes over meal delivery at San Francisco Schools

Company now has contract for both meal preparation and delivery with district.

Revolution Foods is now providing both meal preparation and delivery services to San Francisco USD, reports the San Francisco Chronicle. Revolution Foods replaced the previous delivery contract holder, Preferred Meals, on August 31, allegedly after numerous timely delivery failures at a number of sites, according to public records obtained by the Chronicle.

Revolution Foods has prepared meals for the district for the past two years.

The company, ranked #27 on FM’s 2015 Top 50 Contract Management Companies listing with an estimated $80 million in fiscal 2014 revenues, specializes in freshly prepared meals made with natural (organic and/or locally sourced where possible) ingredients.
