Red Mango frozen yogurt has expanded into K-12 foodservice programs thanks to a partnership with Aramark.

The frozen yogurt retailer is offering students a “new perspective on fresh and nutritious snacking” by installing self-serve yogurt machines and toppings bars at three high schools in Texas’ Northwest Independent School District (NISD), according to officials.

The frozen yogurt will be available to students at Northwest High School, Bryon Nelson High School and V.R. Eaton High School this fall. Each school will have two frozen yogurt machines serving several yogurt flavors that are all-natural, nonfat or lowfat, gluten-free and kosher, and can be customized at the toppings bar, which will offer a variety of additions, including fruit and granola.

“Snacks at school don’t have to be in a package from a vending machine,” said Jim Notarnicola, vice president of marketing at BRIX Holdings, Red Mango’s parent company, in a statement. “With these new Red Mango frozen yogurt machines and toppings bar offering a variety of choices and combinations, students can create their own snack that is low in fat with live and active probiotics.”
