PORTSMOUTH, N.H.— School Board officials are in the process of updating the district's policy on how long students should be allowed to charge school lunches if their parents have unpaid balances.
School Board Chairwoman Leslie Stevens said the board's Policy Committee recently discussed the issue at the request of School Nutrition Director Deb Riso.
The district ended the 2013-2014 year with a unpaid balance of $2,963, according to school documents.
