Palm Beach County (FL) Schools will open a second modern food court style cafeteria (a term it no longer uses) at its John F. Kennedy Middle School when classes begin this fall, reports the Sun-Sentinel. The district opened Cafe Atlantic at its Atlantic High School last year, leading to a participation jump from 52 to 70 percent. The new eatery at the middle school, called the Viking Den, will have four stations: Asian Xperience, Cafe Sol y Mar, Beyond Burgers and Homestyle. Lunch periods have also been extended to 35 minutes to allow students to enjoy the new cafe.
