Twice as many Washington, DC, schools will have salad bars this year than last, reports the Washington Post, with 27 now featuring the station. Among the selections being offered at the salad bars and in school meals are nectarine, mushrooms, watermelon, tomato, arugula, squash and spinach, all from local sources.
