A bill introduced in the Michigan state legislature would require school districts in the state to contract out foodservice, custodial services and transportation, reports the American Independent.

House Bill 4306, sponsored by Rep. Dave Agema (R-Grandville), would require school districts to privatize these services by June 2012. The bill faces stiff opposition from unions representing not just service workers but also teachers.
