A once-a-semester made-to-order pasta bar drew about 200 students at Tigard (OR) High School recently, reports oregonlive.com. The two-day event gives students a choice of up to a cup of vegetables over six ounces of ziti pasta, which is then stir-fried and topped with either marinara or meat sauce. The vegetables used at the bar included some of the 1,200 pounds of Australian butternut squash the district recently purchased from a nearby farm.
