The Massachusetts House of Representatives has voted to overturn a ban on school bake sales following an outcry from parents and mockery from some in the media, reports the Boston Herald. The state's Dept. of Public Health had instituted the requirement, set to go into effect at the beginning of the 2012-13 school year. The House bill making compliance with the ban voluntary must still pass the state senate and be signed by the governor.
