Longtime Northbrook/Glenview School District director retired

Katy Daruwalla, food services manager for the Northbrook/Glenview School District, in Illinois, has retired after 22 years. Daruwalla planned to retire in the coming years, however, she decided to leave earlier than expected following complaints from parents about menu choices, according to a story in the Chicago Tribune.

"It take it very personally," Daruwalla was quoted in the paper as saying. "I helped start this program from scratch, and I feel like it's my baby."
