Pebblebrook High School in Mableton, Ga., no longer has lunch debt due to a donation from the local police department, WSB-TV reports

Police in Cobb County, Ga., and the Fraternal Order of Police recently donated $500 to the school, where about 80% of students receive free or reduced-priced lunches.

Local law enforcement hopes to continue to donate money to all the schools in the district.

As lunch debt continues to rise, districts across the country are often relying on the generosity of local community members to help cut costs.
