Jessamine County (KY) Schools has been named winner of the “Year’s Supply of Rice” sweepstakes from Mars Foodservices.

The prize, two cases of Uncle Ben’s Whole Grain Rice products each month for a year, was presented to Child Nutrition Director Karen Barden (c. below) at the SNA National Conference in Denver by Mars Foodservices Midwest Region Manager Patrice Polta and Northeast Senior Region Sales Manager Chris Hardinger (pictured with Barden).

“We are very appreciative of the prize of a year’s supply of Uncle Ben’s Rice,” said Barden. “In these tough economic times, it will certainly be put to good use in our schools and our students love Uncle Ben’s Rice. We currently serve it in our Teriyaki Meatballs and Rice, and General Tso’s Chicken and Rice.”
