April 10—Houston Independent School District's school board will discuss this week in a closed session to determine if the district remains with Aramark as its foodservice provider, reports the Houston Chronicle.

The paper says Melinda Garrett, the district's chief financial officer, said the district and Aramark have been in a contract dispute over payments. It would cost the district $5.6 million to have Aramark manage its foodservice operation next year.

The district's board will vote Thursday on the contract renewal.
