Oct. 10—A surge in the number of high school students using Bluewater Health's food court this year is crowding out other visitors and staff, one patient says.

“At lunchtime the kids just totally take over the food court there and there's no place for anyone else to sit,” said Nadine Fortin, who recently had hip replacement surgery at the Sarnia hospital.

Sitting adjacent to the hospital, St. Patrick high school more than doubled in size this year as staff and students merged with St. Christopher.

Hospital officials now estimate 400 students head to Bluewater Health every day to buy lunch.
