Calistoga Junior-Senior High School in Calistoga, Calif., is planting an organic orchard on campus, The Weekly Calistogan reports.
As with the school’s garden, produce from the orchard will eventually be used for meals served in the cafeteria.
Jeremy Grove, the teacher heading the project, hopes to incorporate fruit and nut trees that will ripen during the school year and are indigenous to the area.
