Network chose 12 cities with schools waging war on obesity.

May 3—A new HBO documentary is targeting the school nutrition fight and and Portland is one of 12 cities it’s targeting.
HBO representatives visited James John Elementary School in North Portland Tuesday. Students got a sneak preview of the cable network’s upcoming series "The Weight of the Nation," a documentary which highlights the challenge of getting healthy food into school cafeterias.
HBO picked James John Elementary because of the school's commitment to children's health and wellness. The school recently received the Oregon's Wellness award for 2012.
