Anthony Geraci, director of the food and nutrition for Baltimore City Schools, will scale back his duties with the district to spend more time with his family in New Hampshire, reports the Baltimore Sun. Baltimore will hire a day-to-day operations manager to oversee some of the many projects Geraci has initiated since taking over the district nutrition services office two years ago. During his tenure, he has begun transforming Baltimore’s school dining program from one that menued mostly premade processed items into one with an increasing emphasis on healthy items made with fresh ingredients, some from local sources.
