The Newman-Crows Landing (CA) USD is rolling out a new food truck to provide concessions at community and athletic events and to serve as a summertime feeding outlet, reports westsideconnect.com. The vehicle, which includes refrigeration, a steamtable and a sandwich prep bar, cost $65,000 and was purchased with foodservice department funds.

There's a possibility that the truck could be used to complement the regular school meal program at Orestimba High School next year but a final decision has not yet been made on that, according to the district's foodservice director.
