Cipriano to Join Chartwells in Farmington Schools

Timothy Cipriano, former nutrition services director for the New Haven, CT, Public Schools, and more recently for the Guilford, CT, Public Schools, will be joining Chartwells at the Farmington, CT, Schools this fall. One of the school nutrition segment's most outspoken directors and a strong advocate for using fresh ingredients and scratch-based recipes, Cipriano had headed New Haven's school nutrition program for four years between 2008 and 2012 before taking the director's position at Guilford last fall due to personal considerations.

At New Haven, Cipriano had implemented many of his ideas about transforming a school food program, ideas he originally developed in his two years heading the school nutrition program at the Bloomfield, CT, Schools after a successful career in the commercial restaurant segment.
