Standing last Friday in Burlington’s Champlain Elementary School kitchen where he has worked since April, chef Dustin Smith admitted that he has taken some grief for his job choice.
One of his former Culinary Institute of America roommates now works at the renowned Manhattan dining destination, Le Bernadin; another cooks in a high-end restaurant in New Jersey.
