The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have revised their COVID-19 guidance for K-12 schools and are now recommending that all students and faculty wear masks at school in the fall, regardless of vaccination status.
Originally, the CDC recommended that only unvaccinated students and faculty wear masks while indoors at school. The updated guidance falls in line with guidelines issued by the American Academy of Pediatrics last week, which recommended universal masking inside schools for all faculty and students older than two.
Currently, students age 12 and up are eligible to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
