The Food Services Department at the Austin Independent School District in Texas is introducing its first food trailer at Anderson High School in an effort to provide students with healthy and delicious meal options in a new and innovative way, according to the district website.

The Nacho Average Food Truck menu will alternate daily and will initially feature street tacos with locally-sourced ingredients, including tortillas from Fiesta Tortillas and produce from Johnson's Backyard Garden.

Each serving will include two tacos and up to three sides and a milk and cost the normal school lunch price.Daily specials will include barbacoa, carnitas, fish and veggie tacos as entrees with side dish choices such as chili-lime melon, Mexican-style street corn, zesty black beans and chopped Mexican salad.

Students will also be able to purchase agua frescas and Good Pop's paletas to complement their meals.

The truck's name and artwork, as well as the courtyard where it will be located, were all created by Anderson students.

Nacho Average Food Truck is scheduled to debut at Anderson High on Thursday October 15.
