A former school secretary has been indicted for stealing more than $400,000 from the school lunch program in the Concord (NH) School District, according to the Concord Monitor. Edith Kelley, who worked as a bookkeeper for the lunch program, allegedly stole the money over a seven-year period, from 1999 to 2006, according to the indictment in Merrimack County Superior Court. The missing money was discovered by an outside consultant hired to examine the books for a suspected shortfall.
