The dietary department at Lexington Regional Health Center is enjoying more than a little relief from its move into a cafeteria and kitchen, says Lexch.com.

The renovation, part of the hospital’s overall renovation and expansion plans, spared the staff from having to cook out of a kitchen in a trailer most of this year—a situation that lasted longer than expected due to construction delays, according to Lecxh.com.

“It’s been much better for everyone. We can offer more choices than ever before,” dietary manager Maria Vargas told Lech.com. “We have a new soup and salad bar that everyone has been enjoying. We also have a sandwich bar that is open all day, and a fountain pop station. People love that.”
