N.C. State wins Grand Goldie; UNC Healthcare, Flik and ACTS also honored

March 5—North Carolina State University, in Raleigh, was recognized as the Grand Goldie winner in FoodService Director's third annual Goldies awards at the 2013 MenuDirections conference in Tampa, Fla.

North Carolina State was recognized for its sustainability program, My Roots are at NC State. Joining them as Goldies winner were UNC Healthcare, Flik Independent School Dining and ACTS Retirement Communities. UNC Healthcare was recognized for its restaurant delivery program. Flik for its international Traveling Flavors program. ACTS for its program to melt bottles and make them into serviceware.
