Morrison Management Specialists plans to incorporate a line of foods containing probiotic components at its Valley View Hospital location in Glenwood Springs, CO. The products, which include muffins, pancakes and waffles, are from the Synbiotic line manufactured by Providence Food Co., a functional food supplier based in Virginia.

The Synbiotic items include a natural prebiotic component that is blended with a probiotic and designed to enhance the immune and digestive systems. The Synbiotic selections will be available to both retail and patient dining customers.

Morrison is introducing Providence Synbiotic products to its client facilities around the country under the direction of Chef Cary Neff, its vice president of culinary and a renowned chef who has adapted his Conscious Cuisine style of dining into healthcare menus.
