At Milford Regional Medical Center in Milford, Mass., Jennifer Gallagher and the Metz dining team brought a colorful Pride Month celebration into the cafeteria with some clever takes on rainbow food to recognize and celebrate the LGBQT community.

“Pride touches all of us whether it is our staff, friends or family members and we wanted to honor them and raise awareness,” Gallagher says. “It was important to share that sentiment with our customers. We thought it would bring some life and celebration into the space as so much has changed since the beginning of the year.”

Along with Sara Chianese, patient services manager, the dining team put together both décor and menu items meant to add a “burst of color as customers stepped into the café,” Gallagher says. Everything on the menu was available as part of the “Up for Grabs” display at the end of the (formerly self-serve) salad bar, another sign of the times.
