It’s been a long time since FM readers have found “hospital food jokes” funny. Still happening in some places, jokes like this are so far from the truth that they’re simply…tasteless. Evidenced by the food-as-medicine movement, super smart dietitians and talented chefs entering the healthcare world, the food has evolved significantly and that’s an understatement. 

To help amplify the message loudly for the folks in the back that hospital food jokes are “sooo over,” we’re pleased to share the winners of this year’s FM Best Healthcare Recipe Contest: some vegan, some meaty, some stealth-health, some plant-based, some down-home, all totally soul nourishing.
