April 10—A new room service program at North Kansas City Hospital is delivering patients satisfaction along with their pepperoni pizza, sustainable seafood, Dijon crusted chicken breasts or pan-seared salmon in a caper sauce.

The hospital recently implmented the program, which offers meals made to order to patients.
The swithc has already improved patient satisfaction scores, which are becoming even more important later this year in October, when Medicare starts factoring patient satisfaction into how much it pays individual hospitals.
