A new 24/7 coffee shop is scheduled to open in October at MUHM that will have a variety of hot/cold sandwiches, soups as well as various coffees and pastries. Currently, the cafeteria offers late-night service until 2 a.m.
Also new in October will be the Ready. Set. Deliver Flavor menu with on-trend, sustainable, nutritional and seasonal foods like gluten-free soups and entrées daily; new hot subs on the Italian Station; a revamped Exhibition Station with ramen and pho bowls, salads and Thai pork; french fry alternatives like blueberry feta salad, mixed fresh fruits and roasted mushroom medley on the Grill; weekly themes on the salad bar; and fresh-made desserts and many Be Well nutritionally balanced recipes at the entrée station.
Meanwhile, patient dining at the hospital uses Morrison’s Catering to You personalized bedside ordering program that lets patients choose from the Chef’s Special menu or a special Options Menu (consistent with dietary restrictions). Catering to You associates visit patients up to a dozen times a day, including about an hour before each meal time (except breakfast) to take the order and get any special requests. Nursing communicates directly with the associate on diet order changes, new admissions, discharges, etc.
* includes on-site rehabilitation hospital, LTC, extended stay and behavior health facilities for which dining service operation provides meals
