IU Health Methodist offers full room service across the facility through its Classic Cuisine program, which allows patients to order meals from the room service menu, subject to any diet restrictions. Family members and visitors may also order a meal from Classic Cuisine by going to the facility’s Beacon Cafeteria and purchasing a guest meal using cash or credit card. The guest meal may be ordered to arrive with the patient’s meal.

Other retail outlets besides Beacon include Hubbard & Cravens Coffee Bar, Sonny’s Pizza & Deli and Au Bon Pain. Beacon Cafeteria is open daily from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 10 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.

A recent renovation made over the main cafeteria and dining area, redesigned the outside eating area, removed fryers and replaced them with combi ovens. Another recent addition is chef’s specials on patient menus. Plans are currently in the works to convert the cook-chill production area to a combination of combi ovens and blast chillers.
