Duke Hospital employs a traditional tray service for patient dining, with guest meals available to be served with the patient meals with prior notice and pre-payment.

Retail dining is offered at several locations. The Atrium Cafe features a Starbucks open 24/7 and indoor seating. The Pavilion café has indoor and outdoor seating and a menu featuring a wide variety of sandwiches, salads, wraps and daily hot entrees. There’s also a branded Einstein Bagels unit and The Commons, a fine dining restaurant with gourmet soups, salads, a buffet and hot-carved roast meats, as well as specialty items prepared to order.
