Hospital plants garden to increase local food access

Lorain Hospital in Lorain, Ohio, has started its own garden to increase fresh fruit and vegetable access for patients and visitors, The Chronicle reports.  

The garden includes 16 elevated plots that will grow a variety of plants such as radishes and zucchini squash.

Produce from the garden will be used in the hospital cafeteria and will also be donated to members of the community to help fight hunger.
