BLACKSBURG, Va. — The long lines at the on-campus Bruegger’s Bagels and Qdoba have landed the two franchises the No. 1 and No. 3 spots on the companies' most visited locations.

According to Virginia Tech Dining Services, the Bruegger’s in Turner Place is the most visited Bruegger’s Bagels franchise in the nation. Additionally, Turner's Qdoba is the third most visited Qdoba location in the U.S.

In 2013, Bruegger’s Bagels processed approximately 2,000 transactions a day, while Qdoba saw around 2,100 to 2,200 transactions a day.

Turner Place, the dining hall in which Bruegger's Bagels and Qdoba are located, had about 11,500 to 12,000 transactions a day, according to John Barrett, assistant director for Turner Place at Lavery Hall.

“We are doing at least double, if not triple, of what (Bruegger’s Bagels and Qdoba) told us we were going to be doing,” Barrett said. “We knew it was going to be high traffic, we didn't quite know that it was going to be this high.”

Last year, the Bruegger’s on campus completed a total of about 286,000 transactions — equating to over $1 million worth of sales.
