UC Riverside spices things up with Habaneros

New retail Mexican concept has increased sales by 64%.

April 6—A new Mexican concept called Habaneros is heating things up at the university of California, Riverside.

The concept made its debut in in February and in its first complete month of operation, it saw a 64% increase in sales and served 3,800 more customers compared to the previous Mexican concept in the space.

The concept offers customers their choice of burritos, tacos, nachos and salads, all made to order.  Fillings include carne asada, barbacoa, carnitas, chicken, halal chicken or soy chicken.
