Thanksgiving meal competition at Fort Bragg

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fort Bragg dining facilities will host Thanksgiving meals three days this week. More than a dozen dining halls will offer traditional holiday meals that include turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy and thousands of desserts. The meals will be served at various locations on post between Tuesday and Thursday.
This year, food service teams will again compete in a "Best Thanksgiving Dining Facility" competition. They will be evaluated on food preparation and quality, sanitation and decorations.
Service members who use a meal card will not be charged extra for the Thanksgiving meals.
For those who do not use a meal card, officers, enlisted service members, retirees, sponsored guests and dependents of enlisted service members E-5 and above will be charged $7.70 for the meal.
Service members E-4 and below, and their dependents, will pay $6.55 each for the meal.
Military retirees and sponsored guests are asked to contact the dining facility management in advance, Fort Bragg officials said.
